Pilates also helps with strengthening the body to cope with post birth demands. Post birth, pilates supports the healing process. Babies are welcome to post birth 1:1 personalised Pilates sessions.
Prenatal Pilates

Larissa provides personalised 1:1 Pilates sessions in a beautiful home based studio where the focus is on just you, your breath and your body and mind. Pilates sessions aim to support your body during your pregnancy. Pilates is one of the safest and most effective forms of exercise during pregnancy that will help with reducing any pain or discomfort.
- Research has indicated that Pilates in the prenatal period has helped with:
reducing the occurrence of incontinence, pelvic floor discomfort and pelvic pain - assists with managing labour
and - reduces post birth complications
Pilates also supports mental health and promotes overall wellbeing
The Prenatal sessions focus upon supporting your pelvic floor, improving overall body strength in readiness for the lifting/carrying your baby and pram and releasing tension and mobilising your body to eliminate aches and pains.

Post Natal Pilates
Post Natal classes help you recover after pregnancy, labour and delivery.
Pilates will help you strengthen your pelvic floor and abdominal muscles, improve energy levels so you can return to pre-pregnancy activities as quickly as possible.
It is also a dedicated time just for you to focus on you.

Mums and Bubs classes are currently arranged by appointment. We have run classes for many mother’s groups in Banyule & Nillumbik to schedule classes which meet group needs.
